Summary: The creation of workflows used in Sharepoint sites can be performed using the tool called Sharepoint Designer, which allow the specification of the details of the workflow’s steps. However, we cannot have a visual representation of the steps of the workflow with SharePoint Designer in order to graphically see the flow and sequence of actions. The Visio tool, which is part of the Office 2010 suite, allows us to visualize the steps of a Sharepoint workflow as a flowchart diagram. This video shows how to create a workflow in Visio and import/export to Sharepoint Designer in order to provide a better visualization of the steps that compose the workflow.
