Duration: 22 minutes
Summary: We introduced styles when we were creating Silverlight applications using Visual Studio. But then we wrote the style by hand. We can still do that in Blend, but there is an easier way. In this video, we will experiment with creating styles and modifying styles. We will create different styles for different controls and see how we can override some properties. We will also see how to base one style on another and create a style with/without a key and see the impact on the controls. Finally, we will see how to opt to not apply a style for a certain control.
Methodology of the development of example: Good coding standard and simplified design to illustrate the key points.
Technology Used: Silverlight 5, Expression Blend 4
Keyword: Silverlight 5, Expression Blend 4, Tool Panel, Resources, Button, TextBox, TextBlock, Style.
