Summary: The security model used in Sharepoint is very simple. The users must be created in the local server that hosts the Sharepoint or in the central server of the organization that host the Active Directory. In order to enable the users one must insert then inside existing (or new ones) Sharepoint groups such as Home Owners, Home Contributors among others. Finally the permissions to read, design, and full control must be set for the entire group. This video shows how to insert an existing user in the Home Owners group for a Sharepoint site in order to allow the access to the web site. The steps required to add the user, set the permissions and create a new group are explained in simple terms and in a step by step manner.
