Summary: The PL/SQL language requires that the user write SQL commands and sends them to the Oracle Database. The most employed tool for this purpose is the command line SQLPLUS tool. However, there is a more user-friendly tool to work with scripts that contains PL/SQL statements and commands provided by Oracle: The SQL Developer. This video shows how to download, extract and use the SQL Developer tool in order to understand how to work with the scripts through the course. The video also briefly explain the HR schema and unlocks the HR user that will be used to access the sample tables and data that was created by the Oracle installation process.
