Title:  Introduction to jQuery - Selectors -
Lesson III

Duration: 16:09 min

Description: In this video, I am continuing my discussion of selectors. I start by creating the main HTML page that contains a table of employees and their salaries. Under the table I add a list of three radio buttons. The table contains a header that explains the table content. Using jQuesry, we will try to select some rows that satisfy a specific criteria: we select the first row and apply the class header to it, we select the even rows (but not the first one) and we apply the alternating class to them, and finally we select the row that contains some text that we specify and underline it.

Methodology: Using jQuery library.

Technologies: JavaScript, HTML, jQuery.

Examples constructed: We create a table with 3 columns: First Name, Last Name, and Salary. Then we add 3 radio buttons for invoice types. The jQuery code will select the first row, even rows, and the rows that contain specific information.

Key words: jQuery, JavaScript, div, $(document).ready(), function, :first, addClass, :even, :contains, css, not.
