Summary:In this video, we will start our course on T-SQL. T-SQL is Microsoft version of SQL. SQL (Structured Query Language) is a standardized computer language that was originally developed by IBM for querying, altering and defining relational databases, using declarative statements. In this course, we will discuss T-SQL in details. We will discuss a feature and have related examples that illustrate its use. There are two starting points that we need to complete: (1) Install SQL Server 2012 Express. This is the free version of SQL Server 2012. (2) Install a database that we can experiment with to illustrate the key points. This database is AdventureWorks 2012. Now that we have those two steps complete, we are ready to experiment with T-SQL.
Technologies and Resources:T-SQL, SQL Server 2012 Express, AdventureWorks 2012, Database, Schema, Table, View, Procedure, Function.
