Summary: After wrapping up our function discussion, we move to procedures. Stored procedures are like procedures in other programming languages. They accept input parameters and return multiple values (as output parameters). They contain statements that perform operations on the database and return status value to the calling procedure to indicate success or failure. We will start our discussion by exploring the available stored procedures in the AdventureWorks2012 database. In the next video(s) we will create our own procedures and experiment with the ways these procedures are called.
