Summary: Sharepoint allow the users to upload and to control Office documents inside Document libraries. The default modes for multiple users edit the same document in Sharepoint rely on the check out/check in actions where one user at time can change the content of the documents. When the users have Office 2010 installed Sharepoint can allow the simultaneously editing of Word and Powerpoint documents. This video shows how a .docx and a .pptx presentation (but not an Excel .xls spreadsheet) files can be edited by two users at the same time when Sharepoint is employed to host the two documents inside a Document Library of a web site. With this feature group work reach a new level where the collaboration can increase the productivity with Office documents at the work place.
