Summary: In this video, we proceed with the CSS3 discussion by talking about transforms. To do so, I am going to borrow an HTML 5 page that we had in the HTML 5 course. I will start by talking about the actual page and the new tags it contains (like article, nav, header, footer…). Then I am going to discuss some of the styles that exist in the supporting styles.css page. We will apply these styles to the page and discuss the changes. But more importantly, this lesson is about transforms. So we will take the Mr Bool image displayed on the page and try to apply the different transforms to it. Notice that the transform will not take effect until we apply the correct prefix. Since I am using Google Chrome in the illustrations, I will use the “-webkit” prefix to the transform. Then will apply the different transforms such as rotate, skew, scale, and translate.
