Summary:Work flows are a very important element in Sharepoint. They allow users to link document libraries, lists, document and items with steps of a process that happen often. The advantages of using workflows with Sharepoint are: better control of status of the process, coordination of the interaction of the users involved and the communication required to complete the steps. In order to create a workflow in Sharepoint it is required to link it with a document, document library or a list. Then, it is possible create a new workflow by specifying its steps of choose from an existing workflow template. This video show how to create a new workflow with Sharepoint Designer that check the field of and item in a list and then change the value of another field when a triggering condition happens.
