Summary: In this video, we start the first Java certification exam provided by the book. We already covered all the chapters. We created sample code to illustrate the key points. Now, we are going over a comprehensive test to review all the exam key points. First we start with the correct declaration for an abstract class, noting that an abstract class doesn’t have to have any abstract method. After that we covered the use of hashcode and equals methods. Then, we looked at a question about overriding methods. In the overriding method, you can’t make the access modifier more restrictive. Also, you can’t change an overriding method’s return type. Finally, we looked at the correct way of declaring a package: we can’t use wild cards in package declaration, and we can only have one package in a source file.
