Duration: 17 minutes
Summary: In this video we start our discussion on generics and collections. In this chapter, I am going to create small applications as well as working on exam questions. We will write mini applications that explain all the generics and collections needed for the exam. In this video, I start with the basic functionalities needed by all collections: We will see how to use the basic methods available in Object (parent of all objects), then we will see the difference after overriding the methods. The main methods we are covering are: toString(), equals(), and hashCode(). We explore the difference between the == operator and the equals() method.
Methodology of the development of example: Good coding standard and simplified design to prepare for the Java programmer certification exam CX-310-065.
