Title: Sun Certified Java Programmer 310-065-Lesson 19-Strings, I/O, Formatting, and Parsing-Part 3 (Difference between the String and StringBuffer classes)
Duration: 17 minutes
Summary: In this video, we continue our discussion of Strings, I/O, Formatting, and Parsing. The first question we discuss has to do with serialization. The class we used contained static and transient variables. The idea is that transient and static variables are not serialized when an object is serialized. If you need to alter the deserialization process, you would need to implement the readobject() method. Then second concept we discussed has to do with the difference between the String and StringBuffer classes. We used Microsoft Paint to show every object and the references to see the content of the strings.
Methodology of the development of example: Good coding standard and simplified design to prepare for the Java programmer certification exam CX-310-065.
Technology Used: Java - Core Concepts
